Baby Milestone

Baby's first year is both magical and fleeting. I offer milestone sessions designed to document those big changes during your little one's first year. Milestone sessions are short and sweet with the goal of capturing new achievements such as tummy time, toe grabbing, sitting and standing. This one is all about a streamlined, light, and vibrant studio aesthetic—for baby portraits that feel equal parts fun and elegant.

They are typically captured between 3 and 12 months. Cake smash sessions are also available as a fun way to celebrate your little one's first birthday (hello, cutest-ever cake smash photos)!

After you select your session type we will set a date and time. Shortly after, an online booking link will be sent your way and from this link you will view and sign the contract. A session retainer is required up front to secure your date and time and is applied towards your package balance. Remaining package balance is not due until your session date. As your date approaches you will be sent more information via email on how to prepare for your session, along with other helpful tips and tricks.

Prior to your session you will receive a questionnaire that details items of importance to you and your family for us to concentrate on. Expect your session to be reflective of what you see on our website, social media and this guide. Our sessions are interactive and full of movement! Although our sessions revolve around emotion and play, we always make time for that traditional posed portrait.

Your images will be ready in approximately 2 weeks! You will receive an email that holds the gallery link along with detailed instructions on how to place any orders or to redeem any prints, products or digital files that came with your package. If you prefer to view your images in person, we can set up a time for you to come to the studio to do so.

The process

Once you have selected your session type and location preference (studio or outdoor), we will begin the booking process. From your booking link you can select from available appointment times, sign your contract and pay the session fee. The session fee is due at booking and covers the photographers time & talent, and does not include prints or digital images. After booking, information will be sent on how to prepare for your session along with tips and tricks for a successful photoshoot!

THIS SOUNDS GREAT, HOW DO I BOOK?

Your images will be ready in approximately 2 weeks. When choosing your session date, be sure to allow time for editing and ordering any prints or products. Once your gallery is ready, you will receive an email that holds your gallery link along with instructions on how to place any orders or redeem any included digitals or prints. If you prefer to view your gallery in person, we can make that happen too!

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY IMAGES?

Yes, I work with a phenomenal baker to create unique one layer cakes for each session! This is included in your cake smash session fee. Any allergies or special ingredient considerations will also be discussed and accommodated.

DO YOU SUPPLY THE CAKE FOR CAKE SMASH SESSIONS?

Yes, I offer a Watch Me Grow baby plan membership! This bundles multiple sessions during baby's first year to capture your little one's biggest milestones. If your baby has already been born and we didn't get to capture those newborn images, don't worry! We can still customize a package for your family! Contact me for more details on packages and session availability.

DO YOU OFFER A BABY PLAN?

Yes, all of my sessions are custom to your family's styling preferences. I have a full studio of outfits for little ones, premier props, backdrops and decor to ensure your session will be as unique as your baby! Prior to your session, we will discuss details of importance to you and your family for us to concentrate on during your photoshoot. My goal is to supply everything needed so you don't have to worry about anything other than showing up with your baby!

The $200 session deposit is due at booking and can be applied towards any collection listed below.

Every session includes a pre-session consultation to discuss your vision for your baby's portraits. These sessions are for baby only, studio or on-location, and do not include family portraits. Travel beyond 20 miles from 75098 requires a travel fee, inquire for details.

Milestone sessions are typically captured as tummy time sessions (~3-4 months), sitter sessions (~6-9 months) or first birthday sessions (if you choose not to do a cake smash). Sessions are typically under an hour and include access to all of our props & styling items. Up to 30 minute session. Weekday availability.
