The focus of every session is on capturing your family's bond through authentic and organic portraiture. You will be guided through a core set of poses, but a lot of the session will focus on those in-between, candid moments. Let your kids be kids. Laugh and be silly. Sometimes the most unexpected moments make for the best portraits of your family!
Whether you prefer to explore the fields of a private ranch, splash in the creek by a hidden waterfall, or simply snuggle up on a blanket by some beautiful greenery, each session is customized for your family. My main goal is to capture you and your family authentically. While the majority of the session will be focused on interaction, I always strive to get a great set of core posed images with everyone looking at the camera! With this combination, you will have a full gallery capturing all of those fleeting moments to hold on to forever.

Do you capture candid or posed family portraits?
You can select your own locations for your photoshoot or can select from my list of favorite spots around DFW! As part of the portrait planning process, I will get to know you and your family to offer a custom list of options that best suit your vision for your photoshoot. From private ranches to secret waterfalls, there are so many gorgeous options around town!
What location do you recommend?
Outdoor family sessions usually take place in the morning or evening, close to golden hour. This creates that beautiful, dreamy light for flattering images. Most family sessions are booked in the spring and fall. Limited sessions are available in winter and summer - so reserve your spot early if you prefer that timing!
What time of day is best for a family photoshoot?
Your images will be ready in approximately 2 weeks. When choosing your session date, be sure to allow time for editing and ordering any prints or products. Once your gallery is ready, you will receive an email that holds your gallery link along with instructions on how to place any orders or redeem any included digitals or prints. If you prefer to view your gallery in person, we can make that happen too!
How long does it take to receive my images?
The first step includes an online booking link where you can select from available appointment times, select a package, sign your contract and pay the $200 retainer. Nothing more is due until the day before your session. After booking, information will be sent on how to prepare for your session along with tips and tricks for a successful photoshoot!
