Newborn Session Styles – Lifestyle and Studio Photoshoot Comparison

Which newborn session style is best for my family? This is a question I get asked most frequently by my newborn clients! Jenny Havens Photography offers both session styles, and after almost six years of capturing newborn portraits, I still can’t pick a favorite! As a mom to two children, I understand how important this decision is for your family. I am here to guide you to select the right session style to capture your new bundle of joy!

Location:

• Studio – takes place at my convenient studio in Wylie, Texas

• Lifestyle – takes place from the comfort of your home.

Are Family Images Included?

• Both session styles include family images. The main difference is the setting. If you prefer to have images captured in your favorite room in your home, such as your nursery or living room, a lifestyle in-home session is best! If you prefer a more traditional canvas backdrop, white shiplap, or simple window light, a studio session is ideal.

Are props included?

• Studio sessions include a full selection of premier props and styling items. Jenny Havens Photography specializes in custom newborn portraits, offering something unique to translate your vision to a stunning gallery of images to cherish!

• Lifestyle sessions do not include props. These sessions focus on capturing your family authentically from the comfort of your home. We will focus capturing images in up to two rooms in your home. For example, capturing your new bundle of joy in their nursery or family snuggles in the master bed.

How do I decide on a session type?

• Let’s connect! All of my newborn sessions include a pre-session planning phone consultation. I can help walk through these differences, discuss your vision, and help you feel confident in your decision on your session style.

• Whether you choose in-home or studio, your newborn portraits will be captured custom for your family!
